Microneedling treatment Las Vegas

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses fine needles to create thousands of tiny, controlled micro-injuries to the skin. This process triggers your body's natural healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

At Natural Permanent Makeup, we use professional-grade microneedling devices to deliver safe, effective treatments that address a wide range of skin concerns. Whether you're battling acne scars, fine lines, large pores, or uneven texture, microneedling can help you achieve the radiant complexion you've been dreaming of.

The Microneedling Treatment Process

1

Consultation & Skin Analysis

We'll assess your skin concerns, discuss your goals, and create a customized treatment plan. I'll explain what results you can expect based on your specific needs.

2

Skin Preparation & Cleansing

Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepared for treatment. All makeup, oils, and impurities are removed.

3

Numbing Application

A topical numbing cream is applied and allowed to take effect for 20-30 minutes to ensure maximum comfort during treatment.

4

Microneedling Treatment

Using a professional microneedling device, I'll systematically treat the entire treatment area. The needles create controlled micro-injuries that trigger healing and collagen production.

5

Serum Application

Powerful serums rich in growth factors, hyaluronic acid, or peptides are applied to penetrate deeply through the micro-channels for enhanced results.

6

Post-Treatment Care

A calming mask and protective products are applied. You'll receive detailed aftercare instructions for optimal healing and results.

Treatment Time: 60-90 minutes | Recommended Sessions: 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart

Microneedling Aftercare Instructions

Proper aftercare is essential for achieving optimal results and preventing complications:

First 24 Hours

  • Keep skin clean but avoid washing for first 6-8 hours

  • Do not touch or pick at treated skin

  • No swimming, saunas, or steam rooms
  • Avoid intense exercise for 48-72 hours
  • Keep skin well-hydrated
  • Expect mild redness and sensitivity (normal!)

Week 2 and Beyond

  • Resume normal skincare routine gradually
  • Continue daily SPF protection
  • Avoid retinols and acids for 1 week post-treatment
  • Stay well-hydrated and maintain healthy skin habits
  • Watch for improvements over coming weeks

What to Expect During Healing

Understanding the healing timeline helps manage expectations:

Immediately After: Skin will be red and may feel tight or warm, similar to a mild sunburn. This is completely normal.

Days 1-2: Redness continues but begins to fade. Skin may feel dry or tight. Minor swelling possible.

Days 3-5: Redness subsides significantly. Skin may begin to flake or peel lightly as it regenerates. Do not pick!

Week 2-4: Skin returns to normal appearance. You'll begin noticing improvements in texture and tone.

Weeks 4-12: Collagen production continues. Results become more visible as skin improves. Optimal results develop over several months.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

The number of microneedling treatments needed varies based on your specific concerns and goals:

  • Maintenance & Prevention: 1-2 treatments annually
  • Fine Lines & Texture: 3-4 treatments
  • Moderate Scarring: 4-6 treatments
  • Severe Scarring or Deep Wrinkles: 6-8+ treatments
  • Stretch Marks: 6-8 treatments

Treatments are typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart to allow for complete healing and collagen remodeling between sessions.

Microneedling vs. Other Treatments

Microneedling vs. Chemical Peels

Microneedling works deeper in the skin to stimulate collagen, while chemical peels work on surface layers. Microneedling is generally safer for darker skin tones and has less downtime.

Microneedling vs. Laser Treatments

Microneedling has less downtime, is safer for all skin tones, and is more affordable than most laser treatments. However, lasers may work faster for certain concerns.

Microneedling vs. Dermal Fillers

Microneedling stimulates your own collagen production for natural, long-term improvement. Fillers provide immediate volume but require ongoing maintenance.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Microneedling is suitable for most people, but ideal candidates:

  • Are in overall good health
  • Have realistic expectations
  • Are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Do not have active skin infections or conditions
  • Are not on blood-thinning medications (consult doctor)
  • Have not used Accutane in the past 6 months
  • Do not have a history of keloid scarring

Frequently Asked Questions

Does microneedling hurt?

With numbing cream, most clients report minimal discomfort. You may feel pressure or light scratching sensation, but it's generally well-tolerated. Discomfort level: 2-4 out of 10.

When will I see results?

You'll notice improved texture and glow within days. Significant improvements develop over 4-6 weeks as collagen production increases. Results continue improving for up to 6 months after your last treatment.

Is there downtime?

Minimal! Most people experience 24-48 hours of redness similar to a sunburn. You can return to work and normal activities the next day with proper skincare and makeup coverage if needed.

Is microneedling safe?

Yes! When performed by a trained professional using sterile, professional equipment, microneedling is very safe. We follow strict hygiene protocols to prevent any risk of infection.

Can I combine microneedling with other treatments?

Yes! Microneedling pairs beautifully with PRP (platelet-rich plasma), vitamin C serums, growth factors, and other professional treatments for enhanced results.

How long do results last?

Results can last 6-12 months or longer. Regular maintenance treatments (2-4 times per year) help sustain improvements and prevent new signs of aging.
